staff - Alissa Symon

Alissa was an Amita in 2009. Today, Alissa is studying for her B.A at Shalem college, majoring in Middle Eastern and Islamic Studies. Aside from that Alissa volunteers as an educational adviser for a national service program for girls at risk. She is currently living in Jerusalem with her Husband Elazar (Amitim 2009). Before her studies, Alissa served in the IDF as a commander in the "Native" course, which educates Olim and non- Jewish soldiers on the history of Israel and the Jewish religion. Before the army, Alissa studied at the Ein Prat academy and did a year of national service in the Amitim program in Beit shemesh. When time permits, Alissa enjoys traveling and hiking.
