educators - Hannah Kapnik Ashar

Hannah Kapnik Ashar ('04) is a Faculty Member and Manager of Fellowship Year Experience with The Bronfman Fellowship, and a Rabbinic Intern at Congregation Bonai Shalom in Boulder, Colorado. Hannah co-founded The Tefilah Retreat, a weekend of Jewish spiritual practice for young adults, and Come & Listen, a progressive Jewish podcast. She collaborated on the development of Girls In Trouble Curriculum, which explores creative interpretation of women's stories in Torah. Hannah graduated from Wellesley College cum laude and has studied at Yeshivat Hadar and Pardes and completed Kevah Teacher Training. She was listed on the Forward list,"The Do-ers" in 2014. Hannah lives in Boulder, Colorado with her spouse, Yoni, a nueroscience and clinical psychology doctoral candidate, and her daughters, Zivi (3) and Ayala (1).
